If nobody has told you yet, your wedding should reflect you, and no-one else. Please take this as a permission slip to do w h a t e v e r the hell makes you happy.
“How do we know you’re our photographer?”
Some things to consider when choosing a wedding photographer are:
Style & Trust; do you connect with my photographs, and the way that I shoot? Is photographic story-telling important to you, or would you prefer a more standard wedding gallery with mainly classic, posed images.
Connection; I’d argue that this is the most important thing to consider on this list. Have you read my about me? If not- go give it a quick run-through. This is less about me & more about if you like my vibe. For all intents and purposes, stalk me on socials and make sure I’m someone you’d want to have around because out of all of your vendors, you’ll spend the most time with your photographer. Don’t worry- we’ll also do a video chat after your initial inquiry, so if for any reason you feel like we aren’t a good fit, you can move on with no questions asked.
Communication & Client Experience; Is my client experience what you’re looking for? Communication is essential to my process, and I will try to get to know you as a person- Sometimes people don’t want that from a vendor, and that’s okay.
There are no right or wrong answers, it’s just important to be honest with yourself and your expectations so that you can find someone to give you what you want
- because it’s your wedding and you deserve to have the gallery you’re dreaming of.
